Website Design & Development

WordPress Designer / Developer

Horton Group currently has an open position for a WordPress Designer/Developer in our office near The River District in Fort Myers, FL. In this role, you will be responsive for customizing WordPress websites for our small and medium business clients. You will be tasked with identifying outstanding requirements, and working with the project manager to make sure that Horton Group delivers a website that is a positive reflection onto our company and our client. Your role may be supplemented by writers, designers, and SEO specialists, but regardless you should be able to step in and handle these items as necessary. WordPress may seem like a simple platform at first glance, but can become very complex once you start customizing themes, tweaking layouts, etc. So, it’s imperative that you are comfortable working with this CMS.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install and customize an existing WordPress Theme and Child Theme
  • Create Themes from scratch if and when necessary utilizing an existing Theme framework
  • Make logical, visually appealing layout choices in the absence of pixel-for- pixel design requirements (aka, an eye for design)
  • FTP into a WordPress install to create custom PHP templates and such when necessary
  • Track time and tasks in project management system (Collab, Jira, etc)
  • Understand on-site SEO optimization and implement according to Horton Group’s standard delivery practices
  • Work independently

BONUS SKILLS

  • Experience in project management and interfacing with clients
  • Intermediate graphic design, writing, and/or SEO experience

EXPECTATIONS

  • Follow agile processes in all development work
  • Produce work with an eye for technical detail
  • Make best effort to deliver on-time and in-budget for internal and external project work
  • Stay on top of industry best-practices and incorporate them into your work
  • Work collaboratively with teammates, only escalating matters to direct manager after direct resolution has first been tried
  • Keep project manager abreast of activities (completed, outstanding and potential constraints) on a daily basis; copy sales representative informed of progress towards key milestones
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

$15/hour for first 9o days; increase in pay after first 90 days

Email Marketing Associate

Horton Group currently has an open position for an Email Marketing Consultant to augment our existing, growing team. As an Email Marketer, you will build, monitor and analyze email marketing campaigns for our customers. Some days you’ll be creating campaigns from scratch, some days you’ll be researching and writing calls to actions, and other days you’ll be working on new ways to improve retention and conversion. Additional responsibilities could be developed around the candidates’ strengths.

MAIN EXPECTATIONS

  • Comfortable with writing
  • Metrics-minded
  • Familiar with best practices and guiding principles for email marketing design
  • Marketing experience
  • Experience with multiple email service providers*: MailChimp, Exact Target, HubSpot, MyEmma, Constant Contact

*This last part is important, because a lot goes into an effective email campaign. The right fit will be able to demonstrate first-hand experience managing the ins and outs of sending successful marketing emails with mailing lists of 1,000’s- 1,000,000’s across multiple ESPs.

Telemarketing Associate

Horton Group currently has an open position for a Telemarketing Associate for the promotion of our services. As a Telemarketing Associate, you will call on prospective customers for the purposes of providing new business development. Some days you’ll be calling prospective customers to set appointments for the sales team, some days you’ll be calling to promote or upgrade existing services, and other days you’ll be working on the call script and looking for new ways to reach and position our services to customers. COMPENSATION

$12/hour for 1 st 90 days; 1099 contractor

After 1st 90 days, associate qualifies for 5% commission on products that you directly sell outside of appointment setting

Digital Account Manager – Websites, Apps, Online Marketing

Horton Group currently has an open position for a Digital Account Manager in our office near The River District in Fort Myers, FL. The Digital Account Manager role is a critical position in our sales department. As a Digital Account Manager, you will support our delivery team colleagues to make sure that every solution meets the requirements of the client, is delivered on time, to quality and within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

All Digital Account Managers at Horton Group are personally accountable for their own success. You’ll develop and drive sales strategies and activities, including the development of new markets and customers for websites, mobile applications and online marketing programs. This will be achieved through:

  • Networking and prospecting new opportunities aligned to our sales strategy
  • Managing client relationships to drive revenue opportunities through identifying, bringing in and developing loyal clients who value what we do for them will be a critical role
  • Being accountable for revenues and costs in relation to the services you deliver for your clients, will provide you with the freedom to improve performance focused on improving customer outcomes.

EXPECTATIONS

There are two core delivery areas for the role and the ideal scenario in terms of delivery is set out below:

  • Business development with a $360k annual revenue target (80%) - Typically comprising of 70% hunter/30% farmer
  • Client utilisation through managing strategic delivery (20%).

Our ultimate goal with every project is to ensure high client satisfaction and achievement of revenue and margin targets, and you will be rewarded for exceeding these goals. You’ll be expected to work to our in-house methods of sales management and reporting, for example through following our pro-forma approach to sales management. You will take a leadership role in developing plans and delivering activities that make sure the growth of our overall pipeline.
